Classic Car rules – 2025 v1
Elidgable Cars
Any Slot.It / Policar / NSR Classic car. (i.e cars originally raced before 1980)
Rules
1. No unpainted bodies (for cars built from kits).
2. No lightweight interiors.
3. All chassis’ must be standard.
4. No magnets may be fitted.
5. Motor pods : Slot.It – standard sidewinder, grey 0.5mm offset. NSR – standard.
6. Motor must be the V12/3 21k, V12/4 23k motor or NSR Shark 21.5k.
All motors will be checked to ensure that they do not exceed the permitted normal
‘gauss’ level for the motor. (Up to 450)
7. Slot.lt cars must run standard ratio Slot.It gears. These were either 11/32 or 11/34. You are permitted to change from 11/34 to 11/32. NSR cars must run 11/32.
8. Only the original solid axles are permitted.
9. Front axle ride height can be adjusted either by the original set up, or replaced with grub screws top and bottom.
10, Front wheels :- As per original.
Rear wheels :- Slot IT – original manufacture wheels only (currently 15.8×8)
Policar – use 15.8×8 plastic hubs. Can be changed to Slot.It 15.8×8 alloys.
NSR – Slot.it 15.8 alloy only. Hubs will need to be reamed to fit NSR Axle.
Note:- No magnesium alloy wheels permitted front or rear.
11. Front and rear wheels must have inserts.
12. Front tyres are free, they may not be varnished or coated in any way.
13. Rear tyres :- Slot.It F22 (SIPT1207F22) or PCS F22 Race control tyre 18×10 grey/black (PCS-RT03g) may be used.
14. Rear axle width:- wheels/tyres must not protrude beyond the body, maximum width 60mm.
15. Front axle width:- wheels/tyres must not protrude beyond the body, maximum width 60mm.
16. Ride height minimum :- Front 0.5mm, Rear 1mm under the motor.
17. Guide must be Slot.It on Slot.it cars, NSR on NSR cars. Braids are ‘free’.
18. Weight may be added.
19. Rear spoiler; if fitted; should where possible be present at Scrutineering.
It may be removed before racing to avoid damage.
20. Suspension is allowed, but only spring based. Magnetic suspension is not allowed.
21. Anything not covered by these Rules is not permitted. (Check with the Scrutineer.)
